Nelson Custom Guns 1911 22lr Conversion Unit with a standard length barrel, a steel combo rail (Picatinny style rail with iron sights) locks back after last round and is dryfire safe.

Front sight choices are - Standard, Patridge, Red fiber optic, Green fiber optic and Amber fiber optic.
Rear sight is an Eliason style adjustable sight that is custome made to match the sight picture of a BoMar (Same size notch) and you have a choice of a square blade or the standard rounded blade (sometimes refered to as "dehorned") where the top outside edges are rounded.
Had my conversion unit a little over a week, mounted it on a1911 Taurus.Have fired 400 rounds and not a single problem. So far am very pleased with the unit. Next range trip going to add a red dot.
This is a great conversion! I've had this kit for a year now. The ONLY time this did not work is when I put this on a friend's 1911 that he had not cleaned after a few thousand rounds; the rails were caked with carbon. Outside of that, this kit is stupid reliable and eats up basically all of my 22 ammo. This is something that all 1911 and 22lr enjoyers should have!
Just received mine over the weekend. Long wait for the green fiber front sight but well worth it as my eyes are not what they used to be. Glad I waited for it. Absolutly wonderful out of the case, 400 out and not a hicup at all. I have a Kimber Super Carry Pro with the ambi safety. The right side thumb safety dragged on the slide where it would only 1/3 go into saftey. Not a problem at all with Larry's product whats so ever. I clearenced it with some filing and all is good. Kimber had it a bit tight. Thank you Larry and all that are involved!!!
one hell of a conversion very accurate will buy again
Received my unit last Monday and finally tested it out today. Worked perfectly right out of the box. Three different brands of 22lr and no malfunctions at all. On Larry's recommendation I went with the green fiber optic front sight and I'm glad I did. Now all I need to to is get better with the sight to tighten those groups!
