After using Larry's standard non-threaded barrel for years, I decided to order a threaded barrel and fit a Surefire Ryder-S suppressor. It works 100%, even while using SV ammo, and is so quiet that a PACT timer cannot pick it up. Just what is needed to keep from annoying my neighbor. Top-quality equipment and Larry will discuss his products. A-1!

Had mine for a couple years now, always impressed with accuracy. Have to be careful when wearing gloves that you do not touch the slide, but that is to be expected. Only downside is the finish on the top of the slide seems to be bubbling and a bit rough. Perhaps reacting to a lube.

Thanks for the great review Max! We're glad you're liking your conversion!
Also, thank you for bringing up your issues with the coating on the top rail. We are always trying to find ways to improve and make our units better and coatings are definitely one of those things. Back when you purchased your unit (which was actually one of our first batches of conversions I believe!) we were trying different coating options in an attempt to find the best coating and I'm excited to let you know that all of our top rails are now Black Nitrided! This isn't the cheapest option but it is the best! It's extremely durable and has eliminated all of the issues you encountered.
Thanks again for using our product and being one of the first to do so!!!

I graduated from a Ruger 22/45 to this for general shooting and Bullseye matches. Main reason was to mimic my .45, the 22/45 was close but this upper mounted on a dedicated lower is a better match. Steel barrel and iron sight rail with an aluminum slide, the weight is balanced nicely. Install on a Taurus 1911 lower was easy and no functional issues during use. For kicks, no issues shooting suppressed either.
